Service Description

During this three week course you will be able to focus on glaze possibilities, exploring what happens when glazes are mixed in varying percentages. Through blending glazes and discussion of the chemical reactions that happen during kiln firings. By choosing a small selection of glazes you will see the possibilities are endless and that sometimes the most simple mixes of glaze can create truly unique effects. Course schedule: Week 1: Exploring line blends and understanding the process Week 2: Exploring triaxle blends and more experimentation with glazes provided Week 3: Looking at results of previous glaze tests and using them to glaze potential work or to continue with glaze experimentation This course is for those who have had experience with glazing and would like to learn more advanced techniques for their wares. Learners are required to bring their own FFP3 face mask. Additional PPE equipment such as gloves and aprons will be provided. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Due to health and safety, it is advised to not undertake this course whilst pregnant.
